Q. We will be arriving late, is this a problem?
A. For late arrivals, please ensure you have made a booking, paid in full and have notified reception via telephone (0499425888) or email (email@example.com) that you will be arriving late. Reception will provide you with late arrival instruction based on your booking.
Q. Do you have any powered sites?
A. Sorry we have no powered sites, but generators are allowed.
Q. Are you allowed generators ?
A. Yes generators are allowed in a specified area between the hours of 9am and 5pm.
Q. Do we need to make a campsite booking?
A. We recommend booking sites online through the accommodation tab during peak / holiday periods.
Q. What is the drive way like?
A. We have a well maintained 2.3 km gravel driveway, easy 2wd access.
Q. Is there a waste dump point for my van /trailer
A. We do have a dump point, but there are also dump points 25 kms south at Gladstone and 20 kms North at the Edagee free camp site.
Q. Can we bring pets?
A. Pets are allowed at the Wooramel campsite, however they must be on a lead at all times and any sign of antisocial behaviour will result in a move on notice. Pets are not allowed in inside the Artesian baths, Eco Tents, 4 Quarters, or on self-drive tours.
Q. Can we have a camp fire?
A. We do permit campfires, only in established fire pits please do not move or create your own. Also be aware from NOVEMBER - MARCH there is a total fire ban in the Gascoyne including camp fires, always be prepared with gas alternatives.
Q. Where can I source firewood?
A. Fire wood can be purchased from reception. DO NOT COLLECT WOOD AROUND THE CAMP GROUND PLEASE (do not taken wood off the property). We do not allow trees to be chopped down and ask that you do not remove large hollow logs from the ground as they are often habitats for local fauna.
Q. Is there fresh drinking water available at the campsite?
A. There is drinking water available for purchase at reception. We recommend you carry enough water to get safely to your next destination. There are taps located at ablutions and camp kitchen with non- potable water that is suitable for cooking and cleaning.
Q. Do I need to bring cash with me?
A. We have credit card facilities at reception which is subject to a 2% surge charge.
Q. Do you sell any food ?
A. We have a small supply of food and personal items for purchase at reception. We also sell Homestead Hamper Meals.
